Nursing Homes, previously known as convalescent homes, are now commonly referred to as Skilled Nursing Communities. When referred to for long-term living, these facilities offer a higher degree of continual 24/7 attentive nursing care for daily activities such as eating, wheelchair or walking assistance, medicines, and treatment for a variety of medical conditions. Nursing Homes can be private pay, Medicaid, or long-term care insurance.

Using our “Advanced Search” functionality, you can also search for communities that offer a “Continuity of Care” by simply checking multiple boxes for Independent Living, Assisted Living, and/or Nursing Home.
